Meet the Team: Alex Zahn

Meet Alex Zahn, Director of Engineering 

What led me to Quantum⁵ was my experiences in creating and improving processes at startups, including the creation of a culture of quality. Quantum⁵ aligned with those skills and made it an interesting opportunity for me as an organization. The vision of the leadership towards creating better, more curious humans, resonates with me deeply as a lifelong learner.  

What I find fascinating about the work is the opportunity to foster personal growth within our team, nurturing talents and empowering individuals to reach their full potential. Crafting and improving software processes that improve efficiency and deliver value is the sort of thing that excites me. 

Outside of work I’m a huge nerd. I am a writer, I love video games of all kinds, and have been a Dungeon Master for several multi-year Dungeons & Dragons campaigns. Living near the beach has turned me into a beach bum, and I love to spend my time there. 

I believe engineering at Quantum⁵ is in a really interesting space, where we’re just beginning to show signs of our true potential. Getting solid processes in place that help us act and respond to requests in a more agile approach will only let us deliver a better product to our users.
